Paul Bell calls for support on the Fourth Option

I believe that the Labour Party leadership should accept the vote at conference to allow council tenants to vote on a fourth way option of remaining in local authority control. Furthermore, local authorities should be allowed to borrow on the same terms as ALMOs and Housing Associations to bring their housing stock up to the decent homes standard, and dare I say it, build new houses which are desperately needed.

Let us not forget our political base nor our roots and support those people who desperately need our help. No to privatisation Yes to investment in council housing with no strings attached.
