Troops off to Iraq

How can we discharge our duty as an ally and not redeploy troops to satisfy the American request. It is indeed simple - our people are against the war but for the troops. It therefore becomes blatantly obvious that our troops safety is paramount. We know they will face inconceivable danger, the Labour Party a whole load of trouble and the families of our service personnel anguish and horror.

It is now time for the United Nations to take over and for troop movements to be dictated by the Security Council of the UN; the Labour Party to reclaim its roots as a pacifist party and George Bush to realise that he has gone too far. We have that responsibility as an ally, otherwise we are a puppet with Washington pulling the strings.
