Sheffield City Council have setup an ALMO (April 2004) for its council housing called Sheffield Homes Ltd. Without hesitation they are now wasting money on new management posts which should go to tenants.
Advertised today in the Guardian is a new post of Communications Manager £32,361 to £38,010. Over a four year period, this salary could build three new homes to house people in need.
I am saddened by this, as I grew up in a council house in Sheffield. Surely there is something wrong in our housing policy?
